Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Is Oxford Academy a private school?
A. No. Oxford Academy is the public school of choice for academic achievement and college preparation in Orange County, California. Oxford Academy is open to any child in the Anaheim Union High School District (AUHSD), regardless of economic circumstance, through a rigorous entrance examination.

Q. Why do I need to give money for Oxford Academy?
A. As a school of choice in AUHSD, Oxford does not receive funding that many schools receive.

Oxford does not get EIA or ELAP funds because it doesn't have second language students.

Oxford does not get Title 1 funds from Federal government because it does not have students who are "at risk."

Monies from State to schools have been significantly reduced so extra programs are difficult to fund.

Oxford does not have football program that is a huge money maker for most high schools.

Due to problems with the Measure Z projects, we are in need of equipment and other items.
